Full-complement cylindrical roller bearings are specifically suitable for highly stressed bearing points with moderate speeds. These non-sealed bearings are preferably used in gearbox production. Except series NJG23..VH, single-row full-complement cylindrical roller bearings cannot be dismantled. Both bearing rings can be fit in tightly in bearings which can be dismantled. This facilitates mounting and demounting.

Single-row full-complement cylindrical roller bearings can be used to accept very high radial forces; but the bearings can also accept axial forces in one direction. A second bearing is fitted in a mirror image arrangement for counter-stay.

Bearings of series NCF18..V, NCF29..V and NCF30..V are provided with two fixed guide flanges at the inner ring and transmit axial forces only in direction of the outer ring guide flange.

Bearings of the series NJG23..VH accept axial forces in direction of the inner ring guide flange. In all these bearings the roller race is retained in the outer ring so that the rollers do not fall out even if the inner ring is removed.

Heat treatment
Full-complement cylindrical roller bearings have been heat treated so that they can be used up to an operating temperature of 150 °C. Bearings with an outer diameter over 120 mm maintain the accurate dimensions up to 200 °C.

The basic design of full-complement cylindrical roller bearings has the standard tolerance of radial bearings. Also other bearing tolerances are available on request.

Bearing clearance
The radial bearing clearance corresponds to the bearing clearance group CN in accordance with DIN 620-4. Other designs are possible on request.

Compensation of misalignment
The modified line contact between rollers and raceways of the cylindrical roller bearings prevents edge stresses and allows compensation of misalignment to a certain extent. For single-row cylindrical roller bearings the setting angle may be max. 4 angular minutes at a loading ratio of P/C < 0.2, where P = dynamic equivalent loading in kN and C = the dynamic load rating in kN.
